The Long Night
First of all the narration is so good explaining from the day of Zark how nations are divided and how they are interdependent and about the people in the different nations their culture and their way of living to the competition where everything changes as Anika, Dred, Mitali, Jarret, Scario reach the barren land and the way their life changes and become the saviors of the nations. I really felt bad for Jarret. Anika became a super magician. Scario got the evil energy and learned the spells of them to be on the good side. The story was interesting till the end and I wish there will be a second part as the Evil Queen said she will return.

Makeda: The Queen of Sheba
Sticky Icky Vicky
The book is very short and full of energy. This is a perfect book for children to read and understand about their fears and come out of them. Vicky was feared of water and she bathed once a week after the incident on the beach but she overcomes fear with help of her friends and her courage to come out of the fear of water.
Whether we are an adult or child, we all have some fears that make to be stagnant, we should be fearless. We may fail but we should have the courage to do what we love and wish.
The illustrations are so good and I loved them. The way of writing and engaging the reader with the story was done well. I do recommend this for kids and people around me.

Love is Forever, if it's true
The book is really interesting and the way it was narrated from the side of different characters was so good. Some situation and their past experience make the people rude and don't allow to trust anyone. Everyone is not the same, we should follow our instincts and believe and try to live in present. If there is a problem we should not keep it with ourselves and interpret it, communicate to know what is the reality than assuming it unless it is too late. These are the things we will understand from reading this book. This is about the relationship between Trisha and Raghav. Naisha and Rohan were also so good characters and the change of Rohan was a bit sad, there was nor more about Rohan and Naisha after she being herself and I wish she to had a happy life thereafter.
In this story, we can know how love, care, and each relationship are important what happens if the family is not a family just living as a family for namesake.
Love is forever if it's true is true when it comes to the story of Raghav and Trisha, they are separated by physical distance but mentally they were always thinking of each other and that made them ending together having a happy life.

I'LL WAIT
I just thought to read a book and pick it and when I read few chapters it was so engaging that I read in a full stretch. This is the story of Naina, the girl who went to the US for her higher studies, and the guy she loved said he'll wait. Then we are moved to the story after 10 years where Naina comes from New York to Surat for her best friend's wedding with her husband Vinay. Things start to change guys. There are a lot of events waiting to be read.
I liked the friendship of Naina and Sarah, Sarah is a single mother because of her one-night stand and later found her love Avinash but Sarah's parents never accepted her back after knowing about her pregnancy. Now Sana is 3 years and She got a loving dad Avinash.
The way Naina was arranging everything from engagement, Mehendi, Sangeet, Haldi, and Marriage events was really narrated well and I loved it. Naina is not a happy woman as she tries to love her husband for the past 5 years but failed and Vinay is not taking any initiative too.
From this read, I understood we should live for ourselves and we should make ourselves happy and don't think of Society. Many show they are best and happy just to please society but inside they are broken. They want to lead a different life and wish to do what makes them happy but they think what others think and speak of us make them not take a single step towards their happiness.
We have this life once and we should not regret at the end of our life not doing what we wish. Live the life to fullest and make yourself happy first before trying to make others happy.
What The Pandemic Learned From Me
The book title was different and that made me choose the book. It is an enjoyable book like a journal entry. The way each thing was narrated was so good which make us laugh as like the remix of Punjabi songs using the words we came to know after a corona. I was laughing and reading about the finance stuff and how their abbreviation was changed by the author of SIP, MF.
We all learned something during the lockdown and started living a life where we only concentrating on needs than our wants and so much DIY. We started cooking for ourselves and try some new dishes and started to enjoy and listen to the things around us.
We know never thought of an era in India where schools and college conduct online classes and this happened so soon. Work from home became a common thing and it is quite time consuming than office work as we are always at home and available. The way the author described WFH made me think of myself.
S.I.M.P.L.E Goals
This is self-help with some stories to make us understand how we each have different goals and different definitions for happiness. The author gives practical ideas to achieve success and how to select one goal at a time and take step by step to reach it. We all plan but unless we take steps it is not possible. Taking baby steps is important more than planning and he explains about finding one's Satya and trying the way to achieve it.
Unlike other self-help books, this gives step-by-step direction to reach our success and explains how to overcome obstacles with examples. He has said about his goal for weight loss which he did for himself not of thinking what others speak and how he started writing a book, how we all become lazy with no timely routine to eat food, sleep during this lockdown. He also said about planning and how it may fail at some time and having a plan B and reviewing the pros and cons and how well we have carried out with a plan.
We should practice mindfulness and stay focused and try to do one work at a time. Meditation and Exercise need to keep our mind and body healthy.
It was much like a conversation between the reader and the writer about how he achieved his goal using the technique, explaining the techniques and what was his goal, and how he started working. I recommend this to all there who are interested and wish to read a self hep book.
Break Free Break Through
In this book, we learn how we can overcome our childhood traumas and how it will affect us both physically and mentally leading to one thing after another and changing us adding some good things and bad. The story of Kabir is really so emotional to hear as I remembered few events of my life where my mom beats me up a lot for no reason and later pampers me. They show their frustration stress and anger on their kids. Kabir's parents gave him a lot of freedom and trusted people around and never spend much time with their kids which was one of the reasons he became a victim of child abuse from the age of 4.
When the kid says all that happened, the child is blamed. Parents should be there for their kids and should be a strong pillar of support when they even least deserve it.
We can overcome any problem or guilt for what we have not done if we open with the right person. We can free our minds and take the right decisions rather than getting frustrated and depressed. I think everyone should read this to know how children are abused and how it affects their life.
Almost Damned
This is a sequel to Almost Mortal. I read Almost Damned the same day after reading Almost Mortal so the flow was so good and I was enjoying the read. In this book, all the upcoming characters and their role were mentioned prior. Sam has always used his powers to help his clients but now things are different and he wants to defend the fallen Angels and the hybrids before the panel of God - Gabriel, Raguel, Saraikel.... Samuel was represented as her and she was the prosecutor and the way the story was moving was so good.
Here too Sam was reading back the Journal and the appearance of more hybrids and return of Camille at right time to help Sam was interesting. The characters Tawana, Igor, Riker all were given detailed narration and they are all played their part well in the story.
I will surely say you should read Almost Mortal which makes you understand more about fallen Angels and their capabilities and the hybrids who are immortal. Almost Damned get more interesting when they all reach Mount Hermon. The way Amelia asked questions to the person who did the background check on Sam will make u laugh.
It is a mixture of religious and legal stuff, supernatural elements, and for sure it is a different story and I enjoyed reading.
Almost Mortal
I am a thriller read lover. I found it a different read with a lot of details and a lot of characters and I even forgot some characters introduced who appear later at some part of the story like. It is a long read and took time but it is interesting too.
I loved the character Sam, the way he was handling cases. To find a serial killer who confessed in the church was really made me read it. Some journal entries are given by sister Camille to Sam. The journal was also narrated it make us think who it was, who it was what was the connection with the murder and this story.
Then one more thing is about finding using DNA samples and the detailed explanation by Juliana. You should read it at a slow pace to understand each and everything in the plot arranged. I think this will become a movie soon. The court scenes and the way Sam speaks and helps the clients and speaking about his side cases all were needed to make the characters appear later in some part. There are a lot more hidden facts about the serial killer case and he wants to his mother's relation with Camille and Raj.
Overall the story and narration are so good and I recommend this to thriller genre lovers.
The Lambda Factor
This is a dystopian novel where there is some natural disaster and spreading of this which is causing heavy damage to people and the surrounding. The story is weaved in a nice way. The writing so good and lucid that makes the reader engaged with the story. There is some romance too which acts as a balm when there are a lot of things going around. There are a lot of heartbreaking painful moments in the story.
This is a thriller genre and I recommend it to all of you as the author's style of writing was so good and captivating, the characters are narrated so well.
There is a lot of suspense waiting for you. I don't want to give any spoilers. I really thought of the current scenario we are facing. In many states, there are monsoon floods caused by cyclones and on another side, COVID is mutating and oxygen demand, vaccine demand.
Yearn to Fear
The book is a science fiction thriller with a lot of suspense waiting for you. There is a secret project carried out by the Australian Government. Marcus and Henry are working on the project whereas Marcus is a scientist and Henry is his assistant who is an Australian spy. Meanwhile, they were doing a project on a 5g WI-FI receiver Marcus finds a therapeutic remedy related to neuroscience.
All was going well in the laboratory till the murder. There are a lot of twists and turns and more people coming into the picture. As it was a big project many officials and their influence are making many things happen.
A well-crafted story. Each character is narrated well and they all have contributed well. This is a super read and you will surely enjoy it.
Once upon a time in Bharatha Desam
The book is a collection of short stories of times when there was a monarchy and how people are treated based on the varna system present and how some changed and what happened.
The first story itself was the story of the woman Poovi who sang a song for the prince from a chamber. She can't touch the little kid and make him sleep as she was from a poor family who was in the sanitation department before and after moved to help the prince to sleep using her song. The kid was made to believe that the song was sung by Yaksha but he found out and he started playing with Poovi and sleep on her lap which was seen by some official in the Palace and later she was overthrown without any job and but they came to her because of the Prince.
There are stories like this with the problems that were in the society some centuries and even now. The stories all are so well written so well such an easy read. If you like history and mythology this book will be interesting for you.
Blahman and the Terrifying Terror of Jesica
First of all, this is a comic and if u wish to find logic then the book is not for you. You can enjoy reading it when u don't want any logic just want to fill the moments and make u laugh. This is the 3rd comic in the series but this is the one am reading first and the author had given flashbacks which are short description about their past adventures and whom they are which is very helpful people who have not read previous books. This story is where Blahman, his sister, and Aven are trapped in a cube by Jessica and they want to find the path for getting out and there are a lot of obstacles like a robot, a book monster, vegetable beings to harm them. There is some coloring part and a page to be cut out like a bookmark. If u buy a paperback you can color and cut the bookmark.
