An Unexpected Kind of Love

The story is so good with a mixture of emotions, guilt, sadness, love, lust, and romance. The love story of bookseller Aubrey in London and an American actor Blake. They start loving each other so soon and that creates some doubt in Aubrey whether this will result in another heartbreak as Blake will soon return to the US. There are a lot of twists and turns. I really loved the way Blake expressing his love before strangers in the station singing a song for Aubrey. As an actor, he wants more opportunities to become a lead actor in the industry which he may lose when people come to know he is gay. Throughout the whole story, Blake is such a confident, cool guy but at some point, he wants to live up to societal expectations and he leaves Aubrey which is heartbreaking. I loved the character Lily who was such a good friend of Aubrey. The character Eli and Rayan was also different especially Eli who was the ex of Aubrey and currently in a relationship with Ryan and jealous of Aubrey and Blake.

I loved the narration and the lucid writing which made it a super read. At some point I was happy, at some I was sad and laughing at their jokes. I was traveling with the characters all along in Soho, Cumbria, Manhattan...

The relationship should not be measured on time. The connection we feel and the love, care, and understanding of each other are important which changes one's life.

Elevating Equity and Justice

This audiobook is on different supreme court cases that are related to schools and teaching. I am really bad for the girl who was checked for any drugs in her underwear too who was really got affected by this lot as she was accused and found out she was genuine. There are many problems like funding for schools that are not equal which should be taken care of and series of issues in schools.

This gives insight into some problems and solutions and how to handle situations in the right. The syllabus and the way of teaching should be upgraded based on the needs and requirements.

There was one case where people with disabilities should be graded based on their ability not compared to the person without abilities and how government schools and private schools differ in it and the case is explained well.

This is a sure read for parents and teachers and I really appreciate the author for his efforts in bringing the things that are necessary to be acknowledged and taken care of.

AfterMath

I got to hear the audiobook AfterMath which created a lot of emotion thinking of the struggle of people in the story. The way the survivors of the shooting speaks about it is like a weather forecast and Lucy, who lost her brother Theo and shifted to a new place where she faces more difficulties and she joined the class which was more affected by the shooting and having a lot of memories.

There are a lot of sad moments that make you feel a lot. I really felt bad for Lucy's family who was acting like they are good and happy, finally, they had the guts to speak about they miss Theo and accept the loss and speak it.

I really felt pity for Ivory as no one speaks to her as the shooter was her brother but Lucy made her friend and created a good impact on her.

We all have problems and sorrow that cannot be compared as each pain is different. We should try to speak up with the close ones or seek medical help than getting depressed thinking of the past and living in it.

Mental health is equally important to physical health. Just speak out. In all countries, mental health was a taboo topic. Start speaking and share your problems that will reduce your pain a little by little and helps to move on in life.

Take Charge of Your Diet

Everyone wants to lead a healthy lifestyle but they try for few days to relapse to the old lifestyle, am one of them and this is quite a helpful book with a lot of exercises to accomplish our goal. Reaching the ideal weight is a really tough task. The task that is tougher than reaching the ideal weight is maintaining it.

I really appreciate the effort of the author and thank you for such a helpful workbook. Whatever diet we follow and change, we should be optimistic and consistent.

Why Does a Man Rape?

The book really explains many things from mythology, history and how different species are and how they make treat females and how this patriarchal society wrote all rules that give more independence and freedom to men and a lot of restrictions to women.

I liked the way the author explained how our Indian mythology is framed with a patriarchal mindset. The author has spoken of Hinduism and Islam and how the rules are, the author has interviewed a lot of victims and offenders and say explain some stories and try to find a reason why does a man rape.

The offenders had some childhood traumas or their parenting was not so good. Most of the offender's mother was not treated well by her husband, beating and abusing make them feel women as just an object to fulfill their pleasure and do whatever they can.

The author has spoken on child abuse, incest rape, marital rape, and stories of some victims. He also said about why Prostitution should be legal in India and how it can help in reducing the abuse against women and cons if it is legalized.

The rate of sexual abuse is increasing and there are more opportunities to find the victim as in most cases the offender selects a random person. Now online dating apps are also creating more problems as there are many fake ids and there are many users who share a lot of information which makes the people vulnerable and there are some stories about date rape where the victim went for a date and was raped and abused.

I really want to say it is always victim-blaming and there are many leaders who blamed the victim and said about proximity between men and women in society is less as the reason for rape. How they can say boys are boys and all. Really you can see the mindset of many people who supports the offender and blaming the victim for everything that happened when the victim needs support and care.

The book is written so well and dared to speak on many things. Kudos to the author. I do recommend this book to people around me.

A Ride Home (Tampa FBI #2)

The story is so intriguing and I loved it as am a thriller fan and was anchored with the story till the end. The story from the beginning introducing the characters and the way it was leading to each victim and finding the culprit was so interesting. I wish the novel should be adapted as a movie.  There was a killer in Tampa who selects Petite ladies and mutilates their bodies, carves them and dresses up in 50's style, and places them in public places. The first murder site visited by FBI of couples in-home and Dr. Hutton saying there were more bodies found in this way. There are more and more victims from different timelines, years ago. I liked the character Emily who had some special powers which helped the FBI agents to solve the case. I wish Tammy and James will fall for each other. I liked the character Samantha who was so understanding and loved John.

I thought Sara will be killed and the next victim will be Samantha, anyway, the ending was so good, and the last chapter's elaboration of Samantha and John's outing was way more than expected. But I liked it as in many stories they won't explain what happened in the life of other characters after the end of the main plot.

I will soon read the Dare to Dream. As I wish to know more about the characters and the previous case that was solved by Tammy, James, John, and Emily.

The narration and the way the characters were taken away were so good. I wish to read the next part of the book in the series too.

Right Under Your Nose

The story is a superb thriller and a sure read for thriller fans as the case has a lot of mysteries to be solved. Each thing in the story will make you too think like a detective and find answers. Some parts were predictable and some were not predictable.

Vijay, who was in a restaurant with his friend while the 1st murder of Anirudh happened and he was changed to a different wing because he couldn't save the person. Vijay has a lot of enemies in his field because of his sincerity and passion towards his work which gave him many opportunities.

Godbole and Rathore were appointed to solve the murder case but they couldn't and the next murder happened which became a sensation and CM, HM spoke with commissioner Patel and the case was moved to the right hands to find the murderer and Vijay got the opportunity to ask whatever he wants for solving the case and unlimited funding.

With a lot of obstacles in his path, he needs to close the case in a week and find the murderer. Dalvi and Padmini were part of his team. Each one has each characteristic that helped them move further without any distraction. Especially Dalvi was such a loyal and dedicated person.

To know who was the killer and how murders were planned and executed and how the murderer was captured you need to read this novel.

I loved the characters Vijay, Padmini, Dalvi, and Vasudha.
