The Ramgarh Literary Festival

The Ramgarh Literary festival is a perfect satire on the bookish industry.

This was the book selected as February read by my book Club members. It had humor and some parts which make you think - do these things really happen?

During the beginning few chapters I was awestruck by the events and the way things were going. Literally I was thinking what’s going on. The cycle of authors referring books to write on the same topic again and how poets were narrated in the story made me laugh. There are a lot of things that make you laugh and make you think.

I got to have discussions with the author and came to know about the real life events that happened and made him write this book.

Reading the blurb alone will make you read till the end to know what happens. The ending chapter made me think a lot.

Young Investor's Guide

The book has all the basic concepts to improve your personal finance. First, we should save, and then we should invest. Before investing we should know the basic terms used and how to calculate the risk and save based on the goals. Plan each and every goal whether short-term or long-term.

The book was like revisiting the concepts I have learned. The new thing I have learned was more information about different types of insurance and loans. Whether we earn 5k or 50k we all need to take care of our personal finance so that we can plan for future needs.

The author has explained each and every concept so well from the emergency fund, taking insurance, investing in mutual funds, types of mutual funds, good loans, bad loans, real estate, will, investing in stocks, how to evaluate and select investments.

Start saving for retirement when your start earning, don't delay as there are a lot of responsibilities coming like saving for marriage, children's education, and a lot more. Try to make money work for you when you sleep.

Don't forget to take care of your health so that you won't spend all you saved on health later...

The Client Stampede

The book was really a client Stampede. It was so interesting. Actually when I read books for self-improvement and business kinds of stuff it has taken more time to complete as the pace will be slow but this was totally a different one with the personal stories and their client stories and how to build your business and earn profits whether the economy is good or bad. I loved the way the author sold her house during the 2008 crisis. The ideas and each thing mentioned was valuable and true. I literally felt awestruck because the reality is some people say what is needed in a straightforward manner. I loved the way each chapter was explained and the way it was narrated, so simple but powerful.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Rise of the Seven

The book is about finding people of different virtues to be part of his league and how he meets different people and how we convince the people to be part of "The Monopolists". I wish to read the known Unknown and upcoming series of the book to know what happened in the life of Stalker and how he became a sinner, his motive, and his backstory.

The book is short and the narration was so good and simple. What are the Seven deadly sins how he gonna use the people with the virtues is making me excited for the next read. The book is quite different and intriguing.

You & Me are Imperfectly Perfect

The story is really so super and I loved it and completed a 300+ pages book in 2 days. The story went well with explaining from the side of Itisha and Abhimanyu. The flashback was also so good and I love the way the story was narrated and the way it moved. The author has mentioned the book series is based on some true events.

There are a lot of People like Abhi who cannot express their feelings in words but make them understand through actions. Amisha and Avynash were so good friends. I loved their total friend's gang. Abhi's childhood was not good because his mother left his family he hated her as well as yearned for love. Without knowing the other side of the story he made his life so restricted without any feelings for anyone because of that event. You can misunderstand people without knowing two sides of the story, so try to hear the both sides.

The story was overall good and I wish to read other books in the series.

Angad Rane - The Picasso Kill

This is a short crime thriller. There is a serial killer who calls himself Picasso, because of the childhood trauma he turned into an evil man. Someone should find the serial killer who is doing a clean murder without any way to find him but there is the Senior Police Officer Angad Rane who can find the culprit with a small clue he gets. There was 2 row of murder which increased the pressure to find this madman.

I wish to read the next book in the series. The story is well crafted and had a lot of events within 58 pages. If you are a fan of crime series, you will love it for sure.

Getting the Job Done

The book is so good with a lot of things to learn, understand and practice. Getting the Job done has given various examples to handle the team members and how to work as a team with good understanding, collaboration, commitment, take feedbacks, treating each other in the team well and explaining the project to each other and helping each other and how to bring the balance and success to your firm with good teamwork.,

I liked the example of what happens in vegas stays with vegas for retrospective meetings where everyone is treated equally and remarks will not be shared with management as what happens in meetings stays in meetings.

Another example about Jimmy Carter and the translator's mistake that made a great noise and news around for how communication and the clarity and use of words are important.

There are a lot of examples from different parts of the world, like Mao and his vision without detail and its effects and Martin Luther Jr. I really enjoyed and learned a lot through this book.

The book is short and crisp with needed contents and examples and is written in a very simple way and the narration was so good.
