Finally, he succeeded and all went well.  On a sudden, after returning from AP to Pondicherry after vacation the girl broke up with him without saying the reason. He was broken. He has managed to get selected in Infosys and met a girl who came to the fest in Pondicherry. He got some good friends and was enjoying with them and fell in love with a girl and they had a nice journey in life until the girl he loved in college time gave a comeback in same office same project and the same place where his current girlfriend lives. Now he is travelling with 2 angels- keeping each leg on each boat.  Everything Changes after the visit of his mom to Hyderabad.

While reading it made me remember my college days and my friends mentioning about Infosys campus in Mysore after they got selected. I recollected some wonderful memories while reading it.

The author had written in very simple English and narrated so well.

The biggest twist is, to one whom he said his backstory of college was his future father-in-law. The story had a happy ending!!!

A Saga of love, lust, betrayal and revenge

This is the first crime thriller I have read. There were different plots which are connected to each other. The first plot where Alice kills her Stepfather and moves from city to city to protect herself. Naithy is a rich businesswoman who married a 10-year younger model after her first husband died in Taj hotel terrorist attack in Mumbai.

The next plot is about Arun and Prem who moves to Delhi and converted as Christians and later they move to Mumbai. Arun married a Hindu girl from an upper caste. when she knows the truth she moved away and her father tried to kill Arun using supari. But Arun was escaped because of his younger brother who was well versed in Kalari - an Indian martial art. Arun is known as rat Arun because he gets into the house of rich and steals money. Once he took his brother to a house, took the money, raped the women after using chloroform on her. Even her brother Prem too raped her.

Naithy wanted to kill the one who raped her so she gave money to police and Arun was encountered by a Police named Pandey but rape case was not filed. Prem wants to take revenge and he kills the police officer Pandey and goes again to the house of Naithy and rape her again but can't kill her as he admired her and she was the first woman he loved.

There is another plot where Bhanu Pratap Singh who migrated to Mumbai and served as a driver for a Bollywood director's son and later the driver of underworld dawn Mia Sadiq which was also a connection to the plot.

Prem tries to find the mystery in his brother's death and soon comes to know about Tony D' Souza and his connection with LTTE and ISI as he became a good hacker and hacked police information and account of Tony. He even finds where was Alice and the climax was something I didn't expect.

Prakash was the Investigator of the case who find the connections between everything that happened around and saves Alice and Naithy.

I just don't want to give more spoiler...

I loved Alice who was so different and intelligent and always did things cautiously to protect herself and her mother. Another character which I liked was Prem as he was a geek who learned hacking just to revenge and learned many more things to protect himself. He was a daring person.

The Missing Piece

The missing piece is a story about Keisha and Clive. Keisha is a PhD student who is researching giving beetroot juice for heart-broken patients. Once she got a new subject named Clive who was heartbroken because of something that doesn't happen really. Clive asks Keisha for knowing the truth as he feels something of the part he said felt real to him and he wants to know what really happened. To know whether Nancy existed or not.

Keisha is a rare girl, who always checks her pulse there is some story behind it. Her friend Tess helps her to find a partner for Keisha using a dating app, giving her a 100 dating challenge so in the 100 dates she will find a one for her. Keisha felt as she needs to help Clive.

George is one of the nurses in the ward of Clive who helped him and Keisha in finding the truth. There were a lot of kind peoples in this story - Tess, Keisha, Lucy, George who was helping without expecting anything and taking the risk to help a person.

Clive was trying to find the truth about his lost love and Keisha was trying to find a love for her. Both had many things in common, one of the things was a scar. Keisha remembers of the scar often and Clive wants to know how the scar came as he doesn't know how it came.

The climax made me cry. Finally, Clive got a family, Keisha found a love. A Happy and emotional ending. I was living with those characters.

Life is all about happiness and living the life we wish. Never it is too late!!!

Being Oneself

The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi is a really amazing book. This narrates the story of a boy who cannot live the way he wished.

The book begins with the market riots on the day Vivek died. Vivek was found dead in the veranda with bloodstains. His mother is trying to find what happened to her soon and who bought him there. The plot is set in Nigeria. Vivek's dad is a Nigerian and his mother is an Indian. There was a community called nigerwives who are from other countries married to a Nigerian and Vivek's mother was part of that community and Vivek's friends were their children.

Vivek and his cousin Osita were close friends which later become a  different relationship more than friendship. Vivek's parents and other people around thought he was sick. They really don't know what was going inside him neither he doesn't want to convey it to parents and make them feel bad. The only people who know his real identity was his friends and cousin who stayed with him and made him happy.

The way the plot was changing back and forth from past and present was really good. Vivek's mother Kavita was asking her friends are torching them to know what happened to him because they always stayed together. The way Vivek died made me feel so sad. I really felt bad but something that felt great was he had good friends.

The world should accept one the way they are. Especially whether the society accepts or not the parents should understand what's happening to their children and make them feel better. they should not think about what society thinks. I feel the society should be more accepting and open-minded so this sort of things won't happen in real life.

If Vivek lived the way he like before everyone he may have survived. He doesn't want his parents to know the truth about him but finally, they came to know who the Vivek Nnmedi Oji was.

The Multi- Hyphen Life: Multiple Careers

The Multi-Hyphen Life by Emma Gannon gives me insight into how the multi hyphen life works how success differs from people to people.

Nowadays people don't want to fix into one box they wish to have multiple careers. She says there is no single destination in life it is a series of dreams realized and breakthrough after breakthrough.

To have a multi-hyphen life we should analyse and find what we really enjoy. We should know about our self-worth. She says us, not o compare us with others as our circumstance and decision differs from others. We should have competition within oneself.

One should find their definition of success and about things that make them feel good.

Nowadays a new work environment is more flexible many are freelance workers with multiple careers. I really wish to be one of them. Having multiple careers is not wrong. We should understand how the working world is changing and new work designation is created.

We should create our boundaries, online boundaries because now everything is flexible and we forget we are working for having a nice life with our family and replying emails and working at anytime, replying emails and messages from the clients and employers. so we should create our own boundary and should know how important is saying no.

We should work-life balance and should know how to blend work & life. Getting a good mentor is important and networking is something more important especially with appropriate peoples.

The working world is changing and we need to adapt to it.

The best thing I liked was this quote which was said in the last chapter by Emma, "Let's not to be afraid to be many different things".

I heard the audiobook and I feel so happy because many ask me a lot of questions as I am having somewhat multi hyphen lifestyle. I enjoyed it and I want to be consistent and persistent in what I do.

Each book I read is creating some impact in my life. I thank myself for reading this book.

Strategy

This book in which Michael Porter explains about strategy and how it is misunderstood and how to identify a strategy, how to improve sales, increase return on investment.

The book had a nice illustration which I liked a lot. It is a very small book and easy read written in a very simple format.

It really explains that winning is not everything and about zero-sum competition. The company should have the right mindset especially they should have tradeoffs what not to do, whom not to serve, which sort of customers to serve. He says how the people misunderstood strategy with marketing and the essence of strategy and how to use the capital efficiently.

To become a profitable business we don't need to crush the rivals, should be creating the own game having unique value for customers.

I came to understand what the strategy really is and business should have a specific strategy. Whatever I read or learn gives me some new knowledge and ideas. I really feel so good.
